The report must detail tangible results achieved in key areas specifically identified by the institutional IQAC at the beginning of the academic year. The action plan that the IQAC drew up at the beginning of this year for quality improvement and the result achieved by the end of the year. Feedback obtained by students is analyzed by the Student Welfare Committee and Student Grievance Cell, and the evaluation of teacher performance is obtained by students regularly. December 02, 2015-Seminar on "Immediate Implant Placement"-Rama University's Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Periodontology conducted a seminar on "Immediate Implant Placement" on December 2, 2015 at RDC Periodontology Department of an Abott company for postgraduate students. With the support of staff and PG students from the department, the event was successful. On the occasion of Oral Hygiene Day, 1 August 2016, under the guidance of Dr.D.A. Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel Birth Anniversary- 31 st October 2015- A speech competition for BDS students was organized to highlight the life and accomplishments of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel

A Nukkad natak-A street play was organized by the department to educate local people on oral hygiene. School dental screening camps in collaboration with the Institute for Community Dental Care in the Department under "HEALTHY TEETH - give happy smiles". The Department of Public Health Dentistry, Rama Dental College, Hospital and Research Center organized a training workshop for dentists on tobacco cessation on 14 September 2015.

Swasticharan (C.MO., DGHS, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare under Government of India), Dr. Camps. took place in different schools, where children were educated about oral hygiene and screening was carried out. On the occasion of World No Tobacco Day, 31 May 2015, under the leadership of Dr. Gayathri Ramesh, HOD, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology organized Collage Competition for undergraduate students on the theme suggested by WHO for 2015 titled “Stop the Illegal Trade in Tobacco Products” ”. Village Adoption Programme- To reach out to people in rural areas where health facilities are still deficient, Rama Dental College has approached a few villages around Kanpur and has adopted these villages with the intention of organizing regular oral health camps in these villages. Satellite Centers - Rama Dental College has two outreach dental centers to provide care to the people in well-equipped dental clinics outside the college premises. Patients in need of specialized surgical treatments are referred to the college from these centres, other care needs are met at the centers themselves.

The Student Guidance Committee appoints mentors in a ratio of 1:10 to keep track of students' academic affairs, maintain records thereof and guide them in both personal and academic problems. Student Sexual Harassment and Complaints Committees regularly monitor the issues faced by boys and girls separately, under the supervision of the respective hostel wardens. National Tooth Brushing Day Department of Public Health Dentistry, Kanpur conducted a free oral checkup and oral health awareness on “NATIONAL TEETH BRUSHING DAY” at Surja Devi Inter College, Kanpur on 7th November 2015. With the help of a model, we presented the children with the correct way to brush their teeth and had a conversation about oral health. Swami Vivekananda's 153rd Birth Anniversary Celebration - On January 12, 2016, we celebrated the 153rd birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.

World Oral Health Day - An oral health screening camp was organized at Rave Moti Mall Kanpur to create awareness about oral health among the general public and an oral health examination was conducted for around 60 people and those who required treatment were referred to Rama Dental College. NSS Special Rural Oral Health Camp- Collaboration with NSS was done for regular and special camp programs and social work. Department of Public Health Dentistry Lakhanpur, Kanpur NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME (NSS) unit conducted 7 days SPECIAL CAMP at village Ishwari Ganj, Bithoor, Kanpur from 25th March 2016 to 31st March 2016.

Happy teeth - happy children" dental tour at school - 219 students from 5 schools visited our dental college for a dental visit and oral health examination.

Governance, Leadership and Management

Faculty are encouraged (through the reimbursement facility) to participate in CDEs, conferences and present their research work. To boost admissions, college courses and facilities are advertised in the local newspapers; brochures are distributed among colleges/institutions. The study board and the faculty board are composed of employees from all departments at the dental school.
