(i) A Two day National Seminar was conducted in the honour of Prof. Subhas Chandra Kumar who retired on 31.07.2013 on “Phanishwarnath Renu Aur Aaj Ka Katha-Paridrishya” on 13th August & 14th August, 2013 convener of the Seminar was Dr. M. Shyam Rao.
(ii) A Two day National Seminar on “Contemporary Hindi Writings and Criticism” on 25th& 26th March, 2014 convenor of the Seminar was Dr. Gajendra Kumar Pathak.
Lectures:
(iii) Shri Rajesh Joshi, Poet, Bhopal & Shri Malkhan Singh, Poet, Agra delivered the lectures on ‘Poetry Recital and Lecture’ on 4th May, 2013.
(iv) Prof. Alok Gupta, Gujarat Central University, delivered a lecture on the topic, “Adhunik Hindi Kavita Ka Vaicharik Sangharsh” on 18th July, 2013.
(v) Shri Hariram Meena, Creative Writer in Hindi, delivered the two lectures on the topic “Adivasi Sahitya Aur Adivasi Sahitya Ke Adhyayan Ki Mushkilen” on 28th July, 2013.
(vi) Shri Laxman Gaikwad, Sahitya Akademi Awardee, Mumbai, delivered a lecture on the topic “Marathi Dalit and Adivasi Literature” on 29th July, 2013.
(vii) World Indigenous Day was celebrated jointly with Centre for Dalit & Adivasi Studies & Translation on 20th August, 2013, coordinated by Dr. Bhim Singh.
(viii) Sports Meet was conducted in the Department for the Students and Faculty on 15th September, 2013 Dr. Bhim Singh coordinated the programme.
(ix) Hindi Literary quiz U.G. & P.G. Level on 28th October, 2013 coordinated by Dr. Bhim Singh.
(x) Prof. Badri Narayan, Poet & Thinker delivered a lecture on Meet the Author Programme on 29th November, 2013.
(xii) Shri. Gourinath, New Delhi delivered a lecture on “Hindi Kahani: Lekhak Ka Jan Aur Samaj” on 9th January, 2014.

(xiv) Guntur Seshendra Sharma Memorial Lecture (Hindi) endowed by Smt. Indira Devi Dhanrajgir W/o Guntur Seshendra Sharma by Prof. K. D. 3. Development of Indradhanush: An Integrated WordNet for Oriya (Chief-Investigator: Prof. Panchanan Mohanty). Sponsored by Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Information Technology, Govt. of India. Duration: August 2010 to July 2012. Budget: `35.09 lakhs. (extension was given up to 31.10.2013).
4. Development of Shallow Parser Tools for Indian Languages (SPT-IL) – (Consortium Leader: Prof. G. Uma Maheshwara Rao and Co-Consortium Leader: Prof. Panchanan Mohanty). Sponsored by Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Information Technology, Govt. of India. Duration: 33 months i.e. from March 19, 2012 to December 18, 2015. Budget: ` 449.71 lakhs.
The Consortium consists of 11 institutions as its members for the development of Shallow Parser Tools for 12 Indian Languages (including Hindi and Oriya from UoH).
Approved Budget Distribution: For Hindi & Consortium Leader: Rs.53.71 lakhs and for other 11 languages (Rs.33.00 lakhs each) : Rs.396.00 lakhs.
5. Indian Languages Corpora Initiative (ILCI - Oriya) - Phase II (Principal Investigator: Prof. Panchanan Mohanty).
Sponsored by Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Information Technology, Govt. of India.
Duration: 30 months i.e. from March 2012 to September 2014. Budget: Rs. 25.00 lakhs.
