Whatever tip the analysist may propose to himself for a local focussing of attention, the signs of vitality he is looking for or matters of or'ganization among words, and must nbt be thought of in the na'ive terms that the word 'image' too readily encourages. Even where it appears ihat some of the simpler local effects can be picked like plums out of their surroundings, it will usually turn out that more of the virtue depends on an extended context than'was obvious 'at first sight.
