The collection of DEI Libraries has increased from 1.73 lakh (2013) to 1.96 (2019).

Plagiarism check & ETD (Electronic Thesis Dissertation) services started by library.

All thesis uploaded by library on INFLIBNET (UGC). Library is now equipped with

ETD Server, KIOSK, PTC, more CCTV, smoke detector & MAP90 for fire

prevention. Library also purchased Ebsco, Emerald & ProwessIQ datbases.

DEI Central Library and its building were established in 1984-1985 session by merging the libraries of the REI, WTC, and Engineering College

Library as Learning Resource

Library has open access to all the users. OPAC and our stack staff is available to help the user in searching their required material.

The library has single gate entry and janitor is available on security gate.

Twenty computers with internet connection are available for the students and two systems available for the staff.

The books generally purchased in the library on demand of its users. Time to time feedback is taken by the library from its users for improvement of the library.

Current Journals and books are displayed on rack.

E-contents (DEI faculties have designed e-contents (1000 approx.) of many courses)

Library has installed KIOSK and PTC.

Library has a small archive section of rare books. Users may consult them on demand.

Internet facility and access of e-journals are available for full time to the users of library. INFLIBNET, DELNET and AICTE mandatory databases are used by the users of the library.

Library has an advisory and working library committee for the

planning, distribution of funds etc.

Computerization

Central Library

• Library operations have been computerized using NewGenLib open source software.

• Users can access data of all libraries over the OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue).

• OPAC of all DEI libraries accessible on campus at http://10.23.0.50:8080/newgenlibctxt

• Circulation services of all Libraries are computerized and operational with bar-code System.

E-Shodhsindhu - Under this service online access to full text & Databases from 12 reputed publishers through E-Shodhsindhu viz IEEE, ACS (American Chemical Society), AIP (American Institute of Physics), AR (Annual Review), EPW (Economic and Political Weekly) , ISID (Institute for Studies in Industrial Development Database), JGate Plus (JCCC), Oxford, Springer, Taylor and Francis, & Wiley.

EBSCO Business Source Ultimate: Provides access to nearly 3,507 active full-text journals and magazines in Business and Economics including 2,112 active full-text peer- reviewed journals, more than 1,401 journals with no embargo and 1,103 indexed in Web of Science or Scopus
