SEASON AND CROP COVERAGE

(RABI-2016-17 SEASON) WEATHER CONDITIONS

1.1. South-West Monsoon-2016: The South-West Monsoon is crucial for the Agriculture sector and during Kharif, 2016 rainfall received during the month of June, (+50%), July (-3%), August (-42%) and in the month of September is 180%.

1.2 North-East Monsoon: Normally, in Telangana State only 14% of annual rainfall is through North- East Monsoon and the average normal rainfall of North-East Monsoon is 129 mm. 69.4 mm rainfall received against the normal of 98.7 mm during the month of October, during the month of November 0.9 mm rainfall received as against normal of 25.3 mm. and in the month of December rainfall received 0.3 mm as against the normal of 5.5 mm.
