is noted that as on date total 57 km sewerage system and 5.58Km rising main has been constructed (2008-09)

handling 25.38 MLDSewage. However, since the sewerage system remained unutilized
for last 13 years, it shall requird cleaning

A. Kathal drain is required to be restored as a connecting overflow channel
of Surha Taal, (a natural pond) near Ballia city, leading to River Ganga.
This restoration can
be
achievedby
interceptingall the (six)
drainsjoining the Kathal drain and subject them to suitable treatment through establishing Sewage Treatment Plant, process of which already initiated.
B. Currently, with no system of organized sewage treatment functional, and
the
sewage including faecal sludge goinginto
River Ganga through Kathal Nala, the existing system of bioremediation in drains falling into Kathal Nala, Nagar Palika Parishad, Ballia shatl optimize the process of Bioremediation. They may consulta
professional agencyto
design and executethe
processof
bioremediationin all the
drains joining Kathal drain. Performance of the bioremediation shall be periodically monitored along with Third party monitoring agency and shortcomings if any, shall be apprisedto
the Department of Urban Development, U.p. for further remediat measures. The system of bioremediation be so designed that allthe drains meeting the recipient Kathal drain, are subjected to screening fotlowed by effective treatment for their organic pollution load (BOD).
C. Since sewerage system for a major part of inhabited area in the Nagar Palika Parishad, Ballia is estabtished and remained unutilized for severat

to
non-acquistion of the entire land, the construction couldn't be started at the said site. For the work in question, on the basis of circle rates published by District Magistrate, government issued order vide order number 4571/}-5-20L5-272SA-2013 dated 16.11.2015, to purchase land in Chudhar village & the formalitiesto
purchase land has been completed by January, 2016. On the basis of availability of 0.948 hectares ofland

Solid Waste Management Work in Nagar Palika Parishad Ballia sanctioned under URBAN INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT SCHEME FOR SMALL AND MEDIUM TOWNS (ulDSsMT) scheme in 2008. sanctioned cost of Project was Rs 681.66 Lakh
Nagar Palika Parishad Ballia Provided 4.5 Acre Land Against 9.5 Acre Land required for
Project.
Solid Waste Generated in Nagar Palika Parishad, Ballia is approximate 55 TPD.
A TO Z lnfrastructure Limited was authorized by the Working Organization Construction and Design services, UP Jal Nigam Azamgarh by Contracting Accord Hydro air pW. LTD as
a second Party for the purpose of speedy completion of the construction work.
Work has been started on 19.04.2011 and 70 % work had been compteted but due to dispute arising between the First Party and the Second Party, the Plant installation and other related Work has been completely closed since 9 years.
Regarding the Petition organized by the Ferm in High Court Allahabad the sole Arbitrator appointed by High Court has been given in favor of the department.
By Letter No. 177 of Chief General Manager (lll) dated 15.10.2020 the Ferm has been given Status forTermination of Contract Agreement.
Next Hearing has been fixed on L7.A2,2A22 .
The DPR of Pending work has been Prepared by Construction and Design services, Up Jal Nigam Azamgarh. After approval of DPR of Pending work remaining work will complete
as soon as
