JMI organises International Conference on Dynamical Systems and Numerical Methods The Department of Mathematics, Jamia Millia Islamia(JMI) organised a two-day Online International Conference on Dynamical Systems and Numerical Methods on May 20-21, 2022.

The conference was held under the patronage of JMI Vice Chancellor Prof. Najma Akhtar. The welcome address was delivered by Prof. Ayub Khan, Head of the Department of Mathematics,JMI. He highlighted the role of Dynamical Systems in various branches of Science, Engineering and Technology.

The conference was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Prof. Seemi Farhat Basir, Dean, Faculty of Natural Sciences, JMI. During her address she highlighted the role of Mathematics in the development of Science and Technology.

The inaugural function ended with a vote of thanks Prof. Arshad Khan .

Many distinguished foreign and Indian speakers joined the conference. Prof. Karloy Simon (Hungary), Prof. Dumitru Baleanu (Romania), Prof. Higinio Ramos (Spain), and Prof. R. K. Mohanty (Officiating President, SAU) gave the plenary talk. There were 14 invited speakers namely Prof. Constantinos Siettos (Italy), Prof. Patricia J. Y. Wong (Singapore), Prof. Mohammad Sajid (Saudi Arabia), Prof. Jalil Rashidinia (Iran), Prof. L. M. Saha (SNU, Noida), Prof. BN Mandal (ISI, Kolkata), Prof. Shobha Bagai and Prof. Swarn Singh (DU, Delhi), Prof. Kapil K Sharma and Dr. Navnit Jha (SAU, Delhi), Prof. Rashmi Bhardwaj (GGSIP, Delhi), Professor Nita H Shah (GU, Gujarat), Prof. Natesan Srinivasan (IIT Guwahati), and Dr. Amit K Verma (IIT Patna) who contributed through various insightful talks on Dynamical Systems and Numerical Methods. They highlighted the recent developments in their respective areas. Prof. Carlo Cattani (Italy) and Abe Sherif (South Africa) also attended the conference.

The valedictory function was organised on May 21, 2022. Prof. Arshad Khan, Convener of the conference reported that 110 participants joined and 63 research papers were presented during various sessions. He also informed that two Scopus Indexed journals have agreed to publish some research papers presented during the conference after peer review in their Special Volumes.

Prof. Ayub Khan gave concluding remarks in the valedictory function of the conference highlighting the importance of the interdisciplinary research.

Prof. Arshad Khan presented the formal vote of thanks.
