No Equity, No IP

Values

(8)

• T Works gives fair and non-discriminatory access of all the prototyping equipment within the premises to inventors, creators, hobbyists, students, entrepreneurs and businesses.

• T Works provides prototyping facilities – mentoring – skill development programs – incubating facilities – sourcing services – funding opportunities in that order of priority, so that no

succeeding function dilutes the preceding function.

• T Works shall not be used to mass-manufacture

• T Works shall not hold equity in any of the companies or business entities that it works with, mentors, or incubates.

• T Works shall not be in the business of holding, creating, or selling intellectual property.

• T Works shall facilitate hardware startups to scale through active collaboration with manufacturing services

• T Works shall facilitate talent development and upskilling to produce talented workforce for hardware startups and manufacturing industry

1. Who can operate the equipment?

Regular users undergo mandatory safety training. Also encourage users to undergo training on equipment to (a) learn new skills and (b) reduce dependence on machine managers.

- Hand tools, power tools: Operated by users

- Advanced tools: Operated by users under supervision after training - Heavy, expensive equipment: Operated by machine managers only

2. What are the rules for bulk fabrication/mass manufacturing at T Works?

T Works is not designed for mass manufacturing. However, legitimate situations may arise where users need to fabricate more than a few units. Such decisions will be taken on a case to case basis.

3. What after prototyping?

T Works will connect startups to manufacturing services providers and assist with market access in collaboration with other incubators and accelerators.
