1. WEATHER CONDITIONS
1.1. South-West Monsoon-2019: The South-West Monsoon is crucial for the Agriculture sector. In Telangana state as per local meteorologist’s southwest monsoon has been active over Telangana. Rains are received at many places over Telangana State and during this week 35.7 mm rainfall received against the normal of 38.3 mm deviation is -7%.

Farmers are taking up land preparation activities and sowing operations as the monsoon is active over the Telangana state. The paddy nursaries are being raised under assured irrigation sources.
Sowings of rainfed crops like, Jowar, Bajra, Maize, Ragi, Groundnut, Sesamum, pulses crops, Soybean, Cotton etc., are in progress. Planting of paddy and sowings of rainfed crops will be in full swing in the next two weeks. The Department is taking all necessary steps to make available required quantities of various crop seeds and fertilizers to the farmers during Kharif 2019 season.
CROP CONDITION
Sowings of Kharif crops has just commenced and all the crops are seedling stage and overall the standing crops condition is good.
